This month, Carlile Patchen & Murphy staff and attorneys are celebrating the retirement of William Richard Yost. For over 50 years, Rick has been an exceptional leader in the legal community, serving businesses and families throughout Central Ohio. He devoted his practice to providing comprehensive collections and litigation services, including Commercial, Retail, and Subrogation law.
In 1968, Rick received his undergraduate degree (B.S.) from The Ohio State University. After graduation, he proceeded to Capital University Law School, completing his Juris Doctorate.
Throughout his career, Rick was active in the legal and local communities. To better serve his clients, Rick was also a member of the Ohio Creditor’s Attorney Association and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. As a leader in the industry, he also formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Alliance of Creditor Attorneys. Aiding fellow professionals, he served as a committee member on the Banking, Commercial, and Bankruptcy Law of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Municipal Court and Bankruptcy Committee of the Columbus Bar Association.
“Rick, congratulations on your well-deserved retirement! Thank you for your many years of dedicated service. Your good nature, humor and legal wisdom will be missed!” Matt Brown, Partner and Litigation Practice Group Leader.
As Rick ends this chapter and begins anew, we welcome colleagues, business partners, clients, and friends to comment below, congratulating him on his retirement.
