With your owner’s title insurance policy, for any valid claim covered under your title policy, you will be protected from the loss for as long as you (or your heirs) own the property.
A lender’s title insurance policy protects the lender’s interest in the event of a problem with the title. For mortgage lenders, a lender’s title insurance policy is required when they finance a mortgage loan. This is separate from the owner’s title policy and does not cover buyers.
