Joseph M. Patchen

Joe received his undergraduate degree (A.B.) from Boston College in 1984 with a major in history, graduating with Scholar of the College honors, and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree (J.D.) from The Ohio State University in 1987.

Joe is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, where he recently chaired the Real Property Law Committee, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and other professional and industry groups. He is a frequent seminar lecturer on leasing, construction, legal ethics, gun law, and corporate law matters.

Joe Patchen has received the Martindale-Hubbell® rating of BV Distinguished®. He has been listed as a “Best Lawyer” in Best Lawyers®.

Joe serves on the finance committee of the Ohio History Connection (previously The Ohio Historical Society), where he previously served on the Board of Trustees. He’s no the board of the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club, the Statehouse Battery, and was the past Chair of the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce Board. He has served in various board capacities with Huckleberry House, FirstLink, Pilot Dogs, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, and other not-for-profit organizations.
