Carol Sheehan practices real estate and taxation law at Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP. Her expertise focuses on the development and financing of affordable housing, representing real estate developers (both for profit and non-profit), as well as other small businesses.
Carol joined CPM in June 1977, where she served as Co-Managing Partner and chair of CPM’s Commercial Law Practice Group.
Carol received her undergraduate degree (B.A.) from the University of Michigan and her law degree (J.D.) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1978.
Carol is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development and the Business Law Section. She is also a member of the Taxation and the Real Estate Committees of the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
Carol has been recognized in the “Best Lawyers in America” list by Best Lawyers® (2013-2024) for Non-Profit and Charities Law. She was named Best Lawyers®, “Lawyer of the Year” in Central Ohio for Nonprofit / Charities Law (2022).
Carol has spoken at seminars sponsored by the Columbus Area Small Business Administration, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Columbus Bar Association, the American Society of Women Accountants, the National Business Institute, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency and Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.
