CPM’s Commitment to Community Impact

For over 55 years, CPM has been deeply embedded in Central Ohio, not only as a legal institution but as a dedicated community partner. The firm’s philosophy centers on the belief that legal excellence extends beyond the office walls and into the neighborhoods where its clients and employees live and work. This ethos is reflected in CPM’s extensive support of local non-profits, educational foundations, and arts organizations.

Since 1987, CPM has been a proud contributor to the CBA Minority Clerkship Program, providing employment opportunities to diverse law students and promoting inclusivity within the legal profession. In 2020, CPM took a pivotal step in advancing racial equity by making the initial contribution to the Racial Justice Work Group (RJWG), a collaborative initiative between the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and the Ohio Legal Services Association. This program aims to deliver vital legal services to Black and minority communities, reinforcing CPM’s commitment to justice and equity.

CPM’s membership in TAG Alliances for over a decade further demonstrates its dedication to building global connections rooted in integrity and high professional standards. These relationships ensure that CPM’s clients receive trusted legal support, no matter where their needs arise.

The firm’s community contributions span a wide array of organizations, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics Ohio, Mid-Ohio Food Collective, Dress for Success Columbus, Columbus Urban League, and the Columbus Bar Foundation. These partnerships reflect CPM’s responsive giving practices, evolving to meet the changing needs of the community.
