Bryan Pritikin, a Partner in Carlile Patchen & Murphy’s Litigation Practice Group, specializes in complex business, construction, contract, and commercial litigation. He represents individual and corporate clients in disputes related to business, partnerships, contracts, fiduciary duties, fraud, and more. Bryan also handles probate, estate, and trust litigation, including will and trust contests and executor removal actions. Success Story
Corporate Integrity Challenge
The Problem
In a closely held corporation, the CEO, who holds the majority stake, diverts company funds for personal use, breaches the operating agreement, and misrepresents the company’s financial health to minority shareholders. This leads to financial harm and minority shareholder oppression.
The Solution
The CPM attorney brought a suit on behalf of a minority shareholder on claims of breach of operating agreement, fraud, conversion, minority shareholder oppression, negligent misrepresentation, misappropriation of company funds, and tortious interference with business relations. The attorney was able to secure a positive, pre-trial settlement, and, once the settlement was breached, was able to secure judgment for joint and several liability against the business and the remaining shareholder.

Enforcing Confidentiality Provisions
The Problem
A software development company hires a key employee who signs a contract containing non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality clauses. After leaving the company, the employee immediately starts working for a competitor, solicits clients from the previous employer, and discloses confidential information.
The Solution
The CPM attorney representing the software development company successfully files a lawsuit against the former employee, enforcing the restrictive covenants and obtaining an injunction to prevent further breaches. Additionally, the attorney secures a judgment for the company, including reimbursement of legal fees and costs incurred during the litigation process.

Upholding Will Challenge Dismissal
The Problem
A wealthy individual passes away, leaving behind a will that distributes assets among family members and a charitable organization. A distant relative who was not included in the will decides to contest it, claiming that they should have been included as a beneficiary.
The Solution
The CPM attorney representing the wealthy individual prevailed before the Probate Court by showing the challenging party was not a person interested in the will and lacked standing to bring the challenge. The challenging party appealed the Probate Court’s Decision, which upheld the finding of summary judgment against the challenging party dismissing the will challenge.

Bryan received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University Law School where he received the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) award for Advanced Trial Advocacy.
At Capital, Bryan founded and served as President of the Military Law Society and served on the International Criminal Law Moot Court team, which was awarded the best defense brief at competition. Bryan drafted and successfully lobbied for the implementation of the civil and criminal litigation concentrations to Capital University Law School’s curriculum and served as the Regional Lt. Governor of Central Ohio for the ABA/LSD 6th Circuit.
