Business Disputes

Our skilled courtroom attorneys have a track record of success in a wide variety of civil and criminal litigation matters. We appear on behalf of clients in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies and arbitration panels. Our firm is experienced in handling the needs of small and middle-market business entities, as well as personal disputes. We are committed to providing our clients with the highest standards of excellence and ethics.

Business people often find litigation to be frustrating, expensive and distracting. Good representation can minimize this perception. The key is careful planning to anticipate problems rather than merely responding to them: our approach to each business dispute is to evaluate each matter early, to develop a budget, and determine the most effective way to obtain resolution and communicate with the client about the best available options.

These are just some of the reasons Carlile Patchen & Murphy was named by Columbus C.E.O. magazine’s reader’s poll as one of Columbus’ top litigation practices.

Our attorneys also participate in court-mandated settlement conferences and privately arranged mediations. In addition, many of our lawyers serve as court-appointed or privately hired mediators and arbitrators. We regularly utilize the ADR Process to assist clients who find themselves in disputes that they want to resolve in ways other than through traditional litigation.
