Mike Smith practices Business Law and Securities Law at Carlile Patchen & Murphy. He concentrates on business, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions, technology licensing, banking, and securities. Mike joined CPM in February 1991. He currently serves as Chairman of CPM’s Business Law practice group.

Professional Associations and Memberships

Mike is the Past Chairman of the Business Law Committee of the Columbus Bar Association, and has spoken on business and securities issues to various groups. He is a member of the Sections on Corporation, Banking and Business Law through the Ohio State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Securities Law Committee of the Columbus Bar Association.

Education

Mike received his undergraduate degree with honors from Kenyon College in 1979 and his law degree from The Ohio State University in 1982.
