Jack Butler practices business law at Carlile Patchen & Murphy. He focuses on company (corporate, LLC and JV) representation including establishment, venture structuring, business relationship agreements, governance, and ongoing services; M&A transactions; debt and equity financings; captive insurance companies; transaction planning; tax planning; and taxpayer representation.
Jack has represented and provided legal services for start-up companies, small to large privately held companies, and large (NYSE) companies.

Jack has lectured and written for various legal education and public education organizations or sponsors, including Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Illinois Center of Continuing Education, University of Cincinnati College of Law, The Ohio State University College of Agriculture, Extension Service, and Columbus Chapter of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jack has also been an Adjunct Law Professor at Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University, as well as an instructor for The American College.

Jack is a member of the American, Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations. He has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.
