Mr. Veatch has been a principal in the firm since 1985. He primarily works with closely-held and family businesses of all types, and the individuals and families who own those businesses. Mr. Veatch's practice areas cover a broad range of business and personal matters, including business acquisitions and sales, employment, taxation, real estate, employee benefits, and estate planning and estate & trust administration.
His work includes planning, structuring and financing of new and existing businesses; negotiating and structuring multi-million dollar and smaller business acquisitions and divestitures; drafting and negotiating many types of contracts, including agreements with vendors and customers; designing and implementing consulting, employment, buy-sell, non-compete and similar agreements; developing and negotiating commercial leases and property purchases and sales; and estate, tax, and succession planning for multi-generational family and other closely-held businesses. He represents a broad range of types of businesses, including manufacturing, retailing, services, vehicle dealerships, medical and dental practices, distributors and manufacturers representatives, as well as many others.
Mr. Veatch frequently lectures to other professionals and the public on business, tax and estate matters. As a resident of Central Ohio for over 40 years, Mr. Veatch is actively involved in the legal community and serves a variety of charitable organizations.
